American or British English ?

Nowadays , people are paying more attention on English . As we know , English is an international language for the world . But , what kind of English are you using ? American English or British English ? This is one of the topic that i have discussed in my class . Malaysia is using British English , common seen in textbook . But for personally , i prefer using American English . 

Don't know what are the differences between American English and British English ? No worries ! Let us go through the nitty-gritty now .

1. British English pronounce the consonants more carefully than American English .

• Do you want to eat with us later ? 

But American English had shorten the sentence and made some new words that we can common see in internet . FYI : wanna , gonna , whacha doing , whaddya say , etc 

• Do you wanna eat with us later ?

American usually pronounce the ' t ' consonant into ' d ' 

• They pronounce ' water ' like ' wader ' 

On the other hand , British don't pronounce the ' r ' in the words ' er' 

• They say ' wate ' instead of ' water '

So do you get what am i saying ? Next . 

      2.  The different words for the same things .

• American use ' sweater ' , British use ' jumper ' .
  
• American use ' pants ' , British use ' trousers '
  
•  Actually these are all the same things . 

And the important one , you have to bear in mind what i wanna talk about now .

      3.  The same words for the different things .

• what spring into your mind when you see the word ' pants ' ? 
• American wear ' pants ' over their underwear . 
• British wear ' pants ' under their trousers .
• Pants in America , are the trousers . But beware , In British , it has the meaning of ' underwear ' .
  

      4.  Differences in Grammar .

• American might say : Do you have an extra pen ?
• But British would say : Have you got an extra pen ? 

      5.  Some words and expressions are different too .

• American use the words ' cool ' or ' great ' to describe something they like , but British use ' lovely '
• The word ' Mad ' . American mean [ angry ] .
• If I say : " My friend , Kit Ling is a truly mad girl " in England , that will mean ' crazy ' .
  

So , languages change over time . We have to know it well so just can we use it correctly . Im going to have my exam now . Tomorrow will be the graduation day , stay tuned !

I'm still young okay ? Yes , i have forgotten my google account so i can't sign in my previous blogger . wondering how many times have i forgotten my username and also password [sad] but it doesn't matter anyways , i did a new account and now i can continue my blogging . Let's talk about something that i did recently .

i am having a english course - CIEP in ELS centre which is located in HanChiang college .

 i have been studying here for 3weeks already .They have many centres in our country of course , but im studying in Penang . i am going to have my final exam tomorrow , about writing and listening . Thursday will have my grammar and reading test . don't blame me , im training my writing skills right now [laugh] yea , the most bothering class must be the SSP [something about grammar and listening] This kind of grammar is not as easy as ABC , it's totally different from what we have learnt in secondary school [cry] but i'll be finished my level 6 in friday ! [excited] i made a lot of new friends here , although my class just has 9 students . Hahah ! they're quite interesting and talkative people . 3 from Arab , 1 from China and 4 from Malaysia . it's a good chance to understand the other cultures deeply , right ? i have learnt an arabic [analaudinatakalam] which means i don't wanna talk right now . [applause] originally , i'll be outing with my classmates on this coming Friday , but sadly i have to back to hometown . just so sorry to them .

This saturday , i have an extremely important meeting with a guy .

 that's MusicMan LeeHom ! [jealous?] Hah ! he has a concert on this coming saturday in Genting Highlands, and i am going to . have to learn all of his songs right now . i think he'll rock my day . actually i'm not so into him , but i like his angel face and sunny smile [youknow] his singing is quite good also , but i prefer JayChou .

 we [ my sister and her boyf] are planning to go to Jay's concert in August . i get the news from the newspaper , i think it won't be a trick ? [whoknows] 

just now i accidentally opened my blogger which i had created when i was 14 . so speechless about my language - the malaysian language .

something like [ wor , jek , la , ma , liao etc ] i think many people used to write that type of language , right ? it's a totally malaysian language . can it counts as a culture of our country ? somebody even make it into a video . can refer to jinnyboytv in youtube , the channel has a lot of videos which contain malaysia cultures . i like the boy [Reuben Kang] in the videos because he's really funny and cute . [guy on RHS]
